Samuel Wexler makes music from the soul, created in the spirit of truth, freedom and love. He has been studying violin since the age of 9 years old, and is just completing his BA in Music- Violin Performance, under the instruction of Ron Francois. Samuel has always enjoyed diving into various styles of music, and continues to take great pleasure in the production of new music in all genres. Freshman year of college, he began jamming acoustic covers with friends in the dorm, and has continued to do more and more improvisation ever since that point. All live collaborations are almost exclusively improvised, which is an exciting opportunity, as a classically trained musician, to let go a bit and just see what happens. Samuel has been performing as a guest violinist with a wide variety of artists throughout the Rocky Mountain Region. In addition to playing numerous concerts, he was delighted to perform with 5 different acts at Sonic Bloom 2011, and hit new levels while performing in over 10 sets at Envision Festival 2012.
“I love to be an element of beauty within more heavy hitting music. I am blessed to collaborate with a variety of talented people. I personally want to thank every artist who has given up partial control of their music to allow me to improvise with them, either discussed previously or entirely on the fly. Your flexibility, love and sharing spirit allows me to thrive, and I wouldn’t be doing what I am today without you. Thank you for your love and support!”
